Photographer

Macy is celebrating Woman's History Month by exhibiting photos by the Professional Woman's Photographers of which I am a member. The group exhibit, "A Woman's World" is at Macy's NYC 8th floor gallery wall.  The exhibit covers a wide range of inspiring images (of which I have two on display) and has captured the attention of many shoppers as well as all the gallery crowd. The exhibit ends March 23, 2011.

Re-organizing Folders and Collections in Adobe Lightroom.

I've taken advantage of this weekends Northeaster by catching up on a must needed re-organization of my Lightroom folders.  My IMac is low on space and as a solution, I am moving my images to an external drive.  In preparation for the move, I've created a new folder system involving yy/mm/dd and am refining my metadata by editing keywords and creating sub-keywords.

Needless to say, I am ready to get back to the business of shooting photos.  I do acknowledge that this is the necessary evil of digital photography.  Remember those days of hours in the darkroom with caustic fumes?  Now that was evil!

Current Projects

I am working on projects that bring together images of people and/or events from my travels in and out of the United States.

Photographs taken in Australia, New Zealand, China, Italy, Mexico and Nicaragua are the foundation for this project.  Currently I am creating a series of images that convey the unique quality of the people and their environment captured from each of these countries.

Observing the magic of children through my viewfinder and catching that special moment is an ongoing project that brings me great pleasure. I am so thankful for the digital age, thus eliminating the need to carry bundles of film!
